1. Information We Collect

Account Data: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your authentication identifier and, optionally, your email address. We do not receive your name or password.

Usage Data: We collect reading progress, sentence unlock history, and subscription status to provide the service.

Diagnostic Data: Anonymous debug logs may be sent to help us fix issues. These contain no personal information.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the reading and learning experience
  • To sync your reading progress across sessions
  • To manage your subscription status
  • To improve app stability and performance

3. Voice Data (Voice Clone Feature)

When you use the Voice Clone feature on our website, you voluntarily upload a short voice sample (10–60 seconds). We treat this with extra care:

  • Purpose: Used solely to generate audio that sounds like your voice reading the text you chose.
  • Retention: Original recordings are automatically deleted within 24 hours. Generated audio is deleted within 7 days.
  • No training: Your voice is never used to train AI models.
  • Deletion on request: Email support@bysentence.app to remove any trace of your data.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on private servers. We use HTTPS encryption for all transmission and follow industry-standard security practices.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. We use Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, and Apple StoreKit for authentication and subscriptions. No other third-party service receives your data.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email support@bysentence.app.

7. Children's Privacy

bySentence is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
